How to audit a VPS deal in five minutes

Five-step VPS deal freshness audit diagram

Answer: treat a VPS deal as usable only after you match the named plan and currency to the official page, record the fetched-at time, and confirm the billing and renewal terms at checkout.

Minute 1: identify the exact offer

Start with the offer title, provider, price, and currency. The comparison page keeps those fields together and links to the provider's public source. A plan name without its currency or source is not enough to compare.

Minute 2: open both links

Use the offer URL for the product page and the source URL for the page that was checked. They may be the same public page. If either link is unavailable, stop the comparison and check the provider directly.

Minute 3: read the timestamp as a boundary

Each active card shows a fetched-at timestamp. It tells you when this site observed the public page; it does not promise that the quote is still available. Reopen the official page immediately before ordering and record any change.

Minute 4: separate the first term from renewal

Look for the promotional period, renewal amount, billing commitment, taxes, setup fees, and cancellation rules. These terms are not inferred here. If the provider page does not publish one clearly, leave it unknown instead of converting a monthly headline into an annual total.

Minute 5: save a small evidence note

Keep the plan title, price, currency, source URL, offer URL, fetched-at time, and any explicit valid-until date. This makes a later change visible. An absent valid-until field means the date is unknown; it is not proof that the deal lasts indefinitely.

What this site can and cannot verify

This tracker publishes only fields exposed by the configured public provider pages. In the latest collection, Hostinger and IONOS exposed structured offer records; Contabo was skipped after a 403 response and Hetzner exposed no structured offers. Omission means the source could not be verified in that run, not that the provider has no VPS plans.

For the field-by-field checklist, read how to verify a VPS deal before ordering and how to compare prices without assuming they are current.

Last collection attempt: 2026-10-15. Confirm current terms on the provider page before paying.
